This program was tested on Win98/WinNT, it doesn't work on Win95. if your screen color depth is less then 16 bit, the user interface will look bad.

Active Processes

All of the active executables are displayed in this window. Their name and icon (if available) under the Process header, and the Company, Version and Comment fields are extracted from the .exe file and displayed under the appropriate headers.

When this window is opened for the first time, this list is refreshed. As this action takes some time, it doesn't being triggered by the built in timer and you should click the Refresh button when you want to be sure about the displayed data.

If you want to terminate one of the active processes, click on it and then click on the End Process button. Double clicking on A process will open another window with A list of all the modules (.dll etc.) loaded and used by this process.

Terminating an unknown process might crash other programs and leave the operating system in an unstable state.

Active Ports

All of the active ports are displayed in this window. The local IP address under the Local IP header, the port number under the & Port header, and the remote parameters under the next headers.

If the port number is known to be used by A Trojan application, A red icon will appear to the left of the Local IP address and the Trojan application name will be displayed under the Trojan Application header.

Internet Activity

In this window you get A list of all of the URL's your browser called, including those that you didn't know about. You may find that visiting A well-known site will add your IP address to the logs of many commercial data collection sites. if you have A static IP address in your work place or have A cable or xxDSL connection at home, this information will help this sites to get your name and e-Mail address and surfing habits statistics.

The list will contain only one reference for each site, later visits to the same site will be ignored.

This list will be updated only when your browser talks to port 80 (connects directly to the HTTP server), if you use A proxy server (port 8080 etc) the list will be empty.

Double clicking on an item in this list will open this site in your browser, be prepared for A surprise!

Keyboard Monitor

Open this window and click on the Start button. Until you click on the Stop button, all of the keyboard activity will be captured and displayed in this window in the format:

(Window Name)

......(Text).........

A click on the Save button will write this window text to A file named "KeyMon_[dd_mm_yy_hh_mm_ss].txt", where [dd_..._ss] is the date and time of the save action.

This window is enabled on Win9x only.

Files Monitor

Set the directory to the path that you want to monitor and click on the Start button and all of the file changes in this directory and its sub directories will be logged and displayed.

This window is enabled on WinNT only.

System Information

This window shows CPU load, memory load, disk usage and operating system information.

Windows List

This list includes all of the visible and - optionally - hidden windows that were opened by the currently active processes.

The yellow icon marks the visible ones, and the gray icon marks the hidden ones. As some of the icons on the system tray are visible windows by definition, don't try to open (Show button) them, they will stay closed.

Use the Hide button carefully, it's possible to hide the Task Bar and other system controls. If this happens, Ctrl-Alt-Del might be the only active control.

Registry Analyzer

Some uninstall procedures doesn't clean all of the registry fields that the install procedure created. Click on the Analyze button and you will get the list of the fields that reference deleted files and broken links. If you are going to remove even one of them, make A backup of the registry first.

Known Bugs

On some Win98 systems, the CPU load is 100%. As other utilities show the same value, It's probably installation dependent.

In the Files Monitor window, an extra character is added to some of the file name extensions.
